At our recent Academic Awards Night, the National Honor Society inducted its newest members for the 2025-2026 School Year. Laina C, Tyrone C, Ben H, Rogan L, Marley N, and Tyce V were selected by a local council that met four key requirements: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students demonstrate strong academic achievement, voluntary acts of service, possess strong leadership qualities, and maintain values of honesty, integrity, and respect. Also recognized were Ben H, Cooper S, and Ryan M who earned an ACT score of higher than 28. Congratulations to all the students! Great Job!







Our Eureka 8th graders visited many local businesses and homes in historic Eureka. Learning local history from some of the best! Thank you Ron Hanson, Mike McMurray, Noel Duram, Hayes Family & Montana Farmacy
The Eureka Kindergarten classes walked on the riverwalk, completing a scavenger hunt using their 5 senses. Students looked for animal tracks, listened for wildlife and water, smelled and touched flowers and plants, and more! The students then ate their lunch and discussed and shared their findings. It was a fun day!




Eureka Public Schools is proud to announce that they have been awarded the Ferguson Explore the Trades Skills Lab Grant in the amount of $25,000. Next school year the district is offering a HVAC Fundamentals and Intro to Electricity course for students The money will be used to pay for supplies and training materials to start up these programs. We are proud to offer these classes and have students develop skills for high demand jobs in our area. We were one of only 10 schools nationwide to be awarded the grant. The LCHS Spring Art Show is at Timber's Lodge on May 26-29. Work from all the LCHS art classes will be on display. Recently the survival science took their annual backpacking trip into Swisher Lake. The students hiked and explored the area identifying and collecting native plants. They also fished and made dinner over campfire. It was a beautiful day and evening for the students. Ten students participated and Mrs Pacella is glad to say they all survived!





Come check out the High School Expo on Tuesday May 20. Along with student work displays, the high school band and choir will be peforming. Expo starts at 5:00pm, with concert at 5:30pm. Student work from Fiber Arts, Culinary, Robotics, Welding, Wood Shop, Biology, Garden Club, Fabrications, Building Trades, & More will be on display! Our students have been doing some great things this year!

Thank you to Jon Leonard and Glacier Bank for talking to the Eureka Kindergarten students about the importance of saving money. The students had a great time!




The Summer Food Service Program will run from June 16th to July 30th. Food can be picked up Mondays and Thursdays from 10 - 1. They will receive 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches for each child with each pickup. Please email Anita Webb, awebb@teameureka.net, to signup so the kitchen staff knows how much food to prep. If there is not enough participation through the month of June the program will not continue into July. Thank you!


Eureka Public School Board Meeting Notice for Thursday, May 15 at 6:00pm

The LCHS Prom is Saturday May 3 at Abayance Bay from 7:00pm-11:00pm. The Grand March will take place at 7:30pm. Be safe students, and make some great memories!

A huge congratulations to the Envirothon team -They had the top oral presentation at the Montana Envirothon Competition, and took 5th place overall. Great job Bella O, Luke V, Grant B, Jay H, and Rolland B. Envirothon is an event that challenges youth to a competition involving Range, Soils, Aquatics, Wildlife, and Forestry. The competition involves a written test along with an oral presentation to solve a current issue.
Join us for an exciting evening of star gazing on May 2 from 9-11:00pm! Hosted by the 6th Grade Spot Team! Snacks available to purchase from the Lions Den Snack Shack! Fun games will be provided by our Recycling Team, and don't miss the electricity demonstration by the Energy Vampire Team! Check out the flyer for more details.

The LCHS Key Club is helping the Red Cross with a blood drive on Tuesday April 22. If you are 16 and older, you are elgible to donate. This is open for any community member to sign up to donate. The blood drive will take place in the LCHS Auditorium from 9:30am-3:30pm.
