Now that people are receiving their ballots in the mail, there may be some confusion on the amount your taxes will increase between the ballot and the bond calculator on the school website. The calculator on the school website illustrates how much your taxes would INCREASE if this bond passes. The amount shown on your ballot is the TOTAL tax amount.
For example, if your house had an assessed value of $300,000 you were already paying $230.67 per year.
The school bond calculator shows that you would see an increase of $139.38 per year.
The ballot shows the full amount of $370.05 per year which adds the old amount plus the increase from this bond.
The high school bond has been paid off as of July 1st.
I hope this clears up any confusion.

Thank you for those businesses that attended our 1st Annual Eureka Job Outlook Fair. 11th & 12th graded students visited with potential employers and learned about about job skills, demands, requirements, and open and upcoming job positions. Students were educated on just what some of our local businesses do and how they impact our community. Also, they learned what a business desires in an employee. We are planning on doing this in the Spring and hope we can get even more of our local businesses to attend. Be looking for information this May!

2023 School Bond ballots are being mailed out to registered voters in the Eureka Elementary School District on October 18. Ballots will need to be received back by Election Day November 7. Ballots can be mailed back to the county, dropped off at the sheriff's office, or dropped off on election day at the Eureka polling location, the High Roads Youth Center. Bond information is available at www.lchigh.net. On the site you will find a calculator to find your increased tax impact on your property. Sunburst Arts is proud to bring the Missoula Children's Theater to Eureka this year Nov 13-18. Auditions will be Nov 13 at 3:45. Approximately 50-60 kids will appear in the show. The Elementary School is hosting some of our First Responders (Fire, Ambulance, and Search & Rescue)TODAY for lunch and presentations. DO NOT be alarmed as they will be running sirens and lights throughout the day as they give demonstrations to students.
On October 20 the Northwest Drug Task force and Lincoln County Sheriff's office will have a presentation about Fentanyl. Please read flyer for information and plan to attend.

Lincoln County High School will host a Eureka Town Council Candidate Forum and School Bond Information meeting on October 12 at 6pm in the LCHS Auditorium. The public is invited to come and listen to the candidates. Pre-arranged questions will be asked by the LCHS Civics Class Students. No community oral questions will be permitted during the forum. Also, school bond information will be presented and general public questions will be encouraged. Get all your questions answered. The board is committed to transparency with the voters.
The Eureka Middle school robotics registration is full. We will no longer be accepting new students for the 2023-2024 season. Thank you everyone for the interest.
