6th Grade - Second Quarter

Reading - All classes are reading novels in literature circles and working on book for 1st grade reading buddies.

Math - We are currently multiplying and dividing decimals. We will soon be getting into fractions. Students should continue to practice daily math facts.

Science - We are currently learning about atoms, elements, and the periodic table. Our atom projects are due December 11th. Students received the requirements to this project and the score sheet on November 20th. Links are provided on their required work for their project. After this unit we will be learning about electricity.

English - We are currently studying the parts of speech: verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections. Also, writing descriptive paragraphs and weekly vocabulary.

Social Studies - All classes are studying the ancient Egyptian civilization (geography, government, culture, religion and economy).
