WELDING I
(9-12) 1 credit 1 year None
Students will be required to complete a series of text welds using arc and oxy-acetylene welders. The test welds will take approximately 1 semester. The second semester students will be required to make a project of their choice incorporating the knowledge acquired during the first semester. Students will be required to provide their own safety glasses, gloves, and coveralls. Some expense is required of students for materials. |

ADVANCED WELDING
(10-12) 1 credit 1 year Welding I
Instructor’s Approval
The knowledge of Mig welding and machining will be introduced and then applied in individual projects. A series of welding joints as well as a small lathe project will be required. Students will be required to provide their own safety glasses, gloves, and coveralls. Some expense is required of students for materials. |

WOODS I
(9-12) 1 credit 1 year None
The basic knowledge and skills of beginning woodworking are introduced and incorporated into small projects. This will take approximately 1 semester. The second semester students will be allowed to make projects of their choice. Each student will be required to complete one or more projects, with each new project developing a new and more difficult learning skill. Students will be required to provide their own safety glasses. |

Instructor’s Approval
This course is a continuation of Woods I involving more advanced processes and projects. There can be a considerable some of monies involved in the purchase of supplies for projects. |
