Art - Mrs. Steward
Fundamentals of art is for beginning students to offer them a place to dabble in a variety of mediums. Exposure to techniques for drawing, designing, calligraphy and printmaking are included in the first semester. A quarter of ceramics and a quarter of watercolor painting follow to finish out the year. The language of art evaluation and art history are linked to the projects. Art II furthers a student's interests, develops individual skills, introduces other mediums and encourages development of a portfolio.
